Perfection isn’t Important

persistence important than perfection.jpg

I’ve got a LONG way to go until I actually believe this idea, but it makes sense. Plus, true perfection is impossible.

  1. You know, it’s unusual for these kind of quotes to resonate with me (I often find myself analysing them – probably too much!) but this one did. Perfectionism only exists as some abstract and unattainable concept in our minds. We each have our own different ideas of what it could possibly be, yet, more often than not it does more harm than good.

In contrast persistence is something that can be measured and improved on. I’m glad to say that I feel more resilient because of my illness, even if I’m not sure if it’s worth the pain in my mind.

    Thanks for sharing this 🙂

    • You’re welcome! I’m glad you liked it.

Haha, unfortunately, I know all about overthinking. You brought up a point I hadn’t considered: everyone’s idea of perfection is different! That is self-evident, but I’d never thought of it like that. It makes this quote even better! So, thank you too 🙂
