I tried to use my words to SAY what I’m feeling, but I made things worse. Much worse. I guess I need to go back to more covert behaviors so no one can say I’m manipulating them? I don’t know what I’m doing. If words don’t work and behaviors don’t work to express emotions, that leaves what? Numbing the emotions?

I don’t know what I’m doing.

    • That is a good point! I felt particularly inept when I wrote this because at 26, I should know how to tell someone how I’m feeling without making people mad at me. Nonetheless, the person was totally right and we talked about it. So, it turned out okay.

It just occurred to me that the more times we guess and at least try to talk about tough things, the more feedback we get (either good or bad) about how we phrase comments. Therefore, with practice we can get better at talking to people about emotions and less guessing is involved.

Thanks for your comment, it helped me come to a new realization! 🙂
