i adore this mainly because I suck at it. I’ve had a stress headache all day because I had a difficult conversation with a family member this morning. I’m still feeling a bit ill from it. Today’s mantra was: I’m not responsible for other people’s reactions. My job is to be honest but kind.
I hate when that happens. 😦 Great realization though! Treat yourself kindly and try to relax. Or is that a double edged sword for you? Sometimes I’m stressed and I’ll try to relax, but when I relax, my mind starts screaming again.
It definitely is a double edged sword for me too! Which is part of my planned relaxation I.e. focus on a relaxing activity like reading so the dark corners can’t take over.

Reading is a great one because it occupies your mind in a more concrete way than even TV or movies.
